7am wake up call through the baby monitor, I hear a long grunting noise mixed with little whinny whimpers....its my Evan.I try to roll over and ignore the loud sound that just seems to be getting louder thinking he will go back to sleep soon. Praying for 10 more minutes knowing very well that there is no chance of getting them, I roll out of bed. The kid is like clock work, he is always on time for everything - eating, sleeping and even "poopies". I am totally convinced that "poopies" will be his first word since he goes like 4 times a day. Mostly I say it in hopes that when I am trying to potty train him he will at least know what I am talking about when I try to rationalize with a two year old telling him to run to the potty.
Anyways our day pretty much begins as I crack the door to his room and he looks up right away as he is sitting up in his crib chewing on his froggy blankie. He looks up at me with the biggest smile and lets out a delightful squeal. Not to mention his big round baby blues just stare at me as I move towards him to pick him up.
Breakfast time for us consists of feeding Maggie and Noah (two black lab pups), then I feed Evan as I eat my cereal.
My newest creation is oatmeal cereal mixed with blueberries, pears and apples, all organic of course.
For all you mammas out there trying to make the oatmeal fine enough for it to be pureed is tricky. The best results I have are when I grind the oatmeal first using a food processor then I cook it, and add the other fruits already pureed. He loves it!! Don't forget to add probiotics, and baby vitamins too! All from Whole Foods.
